Stirling and Loch Lomond Trip ( 1 day )
When you think about Scotland, you probably think about centuries-old castles, impressive lakes featuring some delightful landscapes, and whisky. Well, luckily, you can have it all in this 1-day tour featuring Stirling, Loch Lomond and a Whisky Distillery.
Description
Do you want to know the real story behind William Wallace and Robert the Bruce? And while you do that, do you also want to see beautiful landscapes and historic buildings? If so, this tour is perfect for you!
On this day trip, you will learn about the events that shaped Scotland to become the country it is today. Discover more about Scottish wars, myths, folklore and, of course, whisky.
Soon after you get on the bus, you will see two enormous sculptures! The Kelpies, two 30-metre high horse-head sculptures. As you will discover in the tour, the Kelpies are part of Scottish myths and acted as a cautionary tale, same as many other folklore stories.
But as mentioned earlier, you will also get to see other historical events and wars that influenced Scotland. What better place than Stirling to learn about the Anglo-Scottish wars and their heroes? Learn all about the true story behind William Wallace and who was the real Braveheart! The stop includes an optional visit to Stirling Castle*.
Along with the Kelpies and Stirling, other great attractions wait for you! Loch Lomond and the Trossachs National Park features some of the most beautiful landscapes you will ever see!
On the tour, you will also have the option to discover a distillery* since whisky forms an essential part of Scottish history and culture. The ticket for the distillery is optional, and along with the guided visit, you will have the chance to taste some whiskies.
Note: Tickets to Stirling Castle and the Whisky Distillery are not included.
